CMG, tax credit and childcare assistance: where to check your situation
Understand what the CMG and tax credit cover, then check your eligibility and amounts with the official bodies.

What to check for your situation
This guidance concerns the French national processes presented by the linked sources. Specific rules may apply depending on the territory, particularly in Mayotte and the overseas collectivities. Ma Tatie does not replace Service Public, Urssaf, Caf, MSA or the tax administration: the competent body confirms the procedures, eligibility and any amount for your situation.
First, check the CMG for direct employment
The childcare choice supplement depends in particular on the family situation, the child, employment activity and the childcare arrangement. Its amount is not fixed. Consult the official CMG direct employment information sheet then use the indicated simulator and wait for the decision from your Caf or MSA.
Declare the childcare arrangement through the expected process
Any CMG amount is calculated by Pajemploi from the declaration, after entitlement has been opened by the Caf or MSA. Ma Tatie does not submit this declaration and cannot award the CMG or state its amount in place of these bodies.
Calculate your out-of-pocket cost carefully
The Ma Tatie simulator calculates the childcare price from the duration and hourly rate you enter, then adds the 10% Parent commission. It does not calculate employer contributions, Caf or MSA assistance, or your tax benefit. Never include estimated assistance as though it had already been granted.
Check the tax credit
Certain home employment expenses may qualify for a tax credit subject to conditions, after taking into account applicable assistance and caps. The Home employment page on Impots.gouv.fr specifies the expenses and supporting documents considered. Ma Tatie fees are not presumed eligible.
Keep official supporting documents
Base your tax return on the certificates and amounts provided by the competent bodies. A Ma Tatie invoice, payment or summary does not replace the social or tax certificate required by the administration.
