Banana-almond cookies: 2 ingredients and 20 minutes in the oven
A simple banana and almond flour recipe, with the actual baking time and useful precautions for children.

These cookies require little preparation, but they then bake for 15 to 20 minutes. An adult handles the oven and checks for allergies before starting.
Ingredients
- 1 very ripe banana;
- 140 g almond flour.
Almond is a tree nut and is among the allergens that must be declared. This recipe is therefore not suitable for someone allergic to almonds or when there is any doubt. Anses notes that almonds are included in the tree nut category in its report on food allergies.
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Mash the banana in a mixing bowl.
- Stir in the almond flour until you get a smooth dough.
- Shape small discs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, keeping an eye on the browning.
Let cool before serving. The texture and exact baking time vary depending on the oven, the size of the cookies, and the moisture content of the banana.
To make with children
Depending on their age, the child can mash the banana and mix. The baking sheet, oven, and hot cookies must remain handled by an adult. Do not present this recipe as “gluten-free” without checking the labelling and cross-contamination of each ingredient.
