When a written contract is mandatory

If you declare your babysitter through Cesu, a written employment contract is mandatory when the working time exceeds 3 hours per week without exceeding 4 consecutive weeks.

It is also mandatory if the babysitter works for more than 4 consecutive weeks, regardless of the number of hours worked. Outside the cases provided for, an oral contract is possible.

Declare the activity through Cesu

With the declarative Cesu, you do not have to make an employment declaration to Urssaf. The Cesu service calculates and collects social security contributions, then prepares the employee’s payslip.

You must declare the activity no later than the 5th day of the month following the period worked. The declared period cannot cover more than one calendar month.
